Hi everyone! How are you all doing, a little more than two weeks into the New Year?
I find, when I have a break from scrapbooking it takes a layout or two to find my groove again. I’ve learned to ease back in gently; not try to force creativity. That way I have a better chance of liking the results.
So I riffled through my stash and pulled out some old product – Simple Stories, Smarty Pants – that I hadn’t got to play with when it was still new. I figured If Not Now, When?? And back-to-school pictures? In January? Is that even allowed? Well, why not, I guess? Talk about throwing caution to the wind; thinking outside the box and stuff, huh?? Well, sometimes, that’s how I roll, lol.
I left the layout pretty clean and simple. I used a couple of the journaling squares from the line, an apple sticker and a couple of chipboard accents, but let the real focus (besides the photos of course) lay in the alphabet grid work. Now there’s a way to feel like you’re actually making a dent in your supplies!
I hope you’re getting to take some time for yourself to be scrappy or crafty or whatever you most enjoy and have the least amount of time for!
