The carols are playing and the elves are busy getting everything ready for Christmas! I’m getting a few last minute cards made and playing with lots of gorgeous Tim Holtz dies while I’m at it!!
I started this card by embossing the ‘brick wall’ using the Tim Holtz Bricked Texture Fade. I really wanted the the bicks to pop out so I added some Vintage Photo Distress Ink directly to the Texture Fade before I embossed the paper. I love how this turned out!
The rest of the scene was created using more Tim Holtz Bigz Dies, Window Box, Holiday Lamp Post and one of my new favorite dies the Victorian Carolers!
I wanted the window to have a view as if you were looking inside the house so I added the Christmas Tree which I cut out of some Dee’s Distinctivly dies. Both layers of the tree were cut using the same cardstock, then I misted the top layer with some Maya Mist to make the design stand out.
I added some gold glitter cardstock to the Holiday Lamp Post making it look like it’s glowing.
When I showed this card to my husband he said he loved all the dimension & texture of the card…gotta love a man who supports this crazy hobby!! 🙂
I hope the elves are busy prepping at your house decorating, cooking, wrapping and making something special!!!
