Kids have returned to school and fall will be here soon and before I know we’ll be busy with hockey. Every year I have good intentions to make Christmas cards, but then life gets so busy that December comes and I have no cards made. So I decided I better get a jump start on them this year, and with some of the new Memory Box dies Lori just brought in it made it easy!
On my first card I used the Merry Christmas die, I just love how this die was designed to cut the words in a negative & positive image!
This die made it so easy to make this card which is great if you want to make lots of cards the same. This die would also be great for scrapbook pages, project life albums and so much more! And as a bonus you can save the Christmas letters that are cut out and use them on another project! 🙂
On my second card it used the Glowing Candles die…which is so gorgeous and sadly sold out at the moment. (please contact Lori @ email@example.com if you would like one when they come in)
This die is so pretty and detailed you don’t need much else to make a gorgeous card!! I cut it out of glitter paper first in an off white, then cut again using a scrap piece of green paper to show off the holly leaves, then cut a third time using gold glitter paper for the flames!
The camera didn’t pick up the beauty of the glitter paper, but trust me it adds a nice little sparkle to the card without all the mess of loose glitter….bonus!! 🙂
Here’s a closer look showing you the amazing detail in the holly leaves.
So tell me have you started any Christmas projects yet? What kind of projects are you planning for this year, cards, gifts?
I hope you have a great weekend!
