Happy Sunday everyone!!
I spent the better part of the last week camping, first a weekend with amazing friends and no kids, then we took the kids to Grand Beach for our annual camping trip. The weather was perfect all week, and after the storm we had this morning I’m glad we didn’t extend our trip, it’s no fun camping in the rain never mind packing up in the rain!
In between putting all the camping gear away and doing mounds of laundry I snuck in some creative time and have a little tag to share with you today.
To create the background I started with Distress Paint in Black Soot & Broken China, which I sprayed with water to mix the colors. It was a little too dark so I added a layer of Platnum Inka Gold, then it was too light….LOL…which led me to sand the entire tag taking off some of the Inka Gold bringing out some of the Distress Paint underneath.
To finish up I added some different embelishments, including some Vintage Mechanicals from Prima, which worked perfectly with my distressed background!
Well holidays are over, the laundry needs finishing and sadly I’m back to work tomorrow. I hope you’ve had a great weekend!!
