Far & Away…

Good Sunday morning all.  I hope the sun has come out shine on you wherever you are!

For today’s post, I got to play with Teresa Collins’ Far & Away line.  I love the colors, the banners and flags, the assorted embellishments that all coordinate, and best of all, I love that when you’re finished scrapping travel/vacation photos, there’s lots left to use on non-theme cards and layouts.

Let me show you what I mean.

This first layout and card are travel focused, and I incorporated a Rubbernecker stamp I had in my stash, to support the travel theme.  I also tried a trick with my Cameo, where I cut the “tourist” word out of my tag, extending past the edges slightly so that the top and bottom are almost separated.

The card uses embellishments from the Far & Away line, as well as the Tim Holtz Route 66 embossing folder.

Then I moved on to a non-travel themed layout and card.

I used my Cameo again on this layout, cutting the “us” out of a lined paper bag.  I love how the handwritten journaling on the tag inside shows through in that spot and also harmonizes with the “i” letter sticker from October Afternoon.

This last card isn’t wasn’t as much travel themed until I found this “travel-365” stamp in my stash too.  Then I was helpless.  What could I do?  It just begged to be used on this card.

I hope you’ve found something inspiring here today!  Thanks for stopping by!
