Happy Valentines Day!
I hope you all are spending the day staying warm and cozy with your sweetheart, furbaby, craft supplies…or anything else you love! Of course, I hope you take a quick break to join me here too for some inspiration!
I continue to explore fun different ways that I can use those leftover heart die cut papers. If you follow me on Instagram (tottle.artsy) you’ll see earlier this week I used one in an art journal, and here on a layout with my sweetheart!
The heart piece I used on this page started out as very orange cardstock, not a colour I typically use, so of course, I wanted to explore a fun way to alter it!
I pulled out my Gel Press geli plate and had some fun playing! My initial idea was to use it as a stencil, which worked…but it also pulled a print onto the paper which in the end I fell in love with! It shifted the orange into this beautiful peachy kind of colour, and the red flowers from a Tim Holtz stencil came out so pretty!
I paired it up with some 49 and Market papers, and ephemera, added a few Paper Roses Dies and some flowers, an instant layout that was so easy to put together!
Thank you for joining me today, as always I hope this inspires you to play with your supplies exploring the never ending ways to use them!
