I don’t know what the weather is like where you are but here it’s a stormy rainy day so far. We need the rain and it gives me the perfect excuse to spend time in my space today!
I hope this project I’m sharing with you today brightens your day a bit regardless of the weather where you are!
I had gotten into the bad habit of starting projects and leaving them unfinished. This canvas is one of those. The background did not come out the way I wanted so I pushed it aside and let it sit for a few years on the corner of my desk.
I decided enough was enough this canvas needed a bit of a do-over, so I pulled out some gesso, covered the background and started again. This time I was much happier with the results!
The background features some of the gorgeous Love Is In The Details laser cut chipboard, which I coated in various Tim Holtz Distress Embossing Powder….oooh how I love those embossing powders, and keep hoarding them since they are discontinued.
To offset all the green in the background and really make this canvas pop I used a red and orange spray to color the flowers. OMG don’t you just love that color!!!! Then I pulled out some Ranger Perfect Pearls Mist in Copper to give them some shimmer!
It feels good to have this unfinished project completed, and I love how it turned out….I’m seriously gooshing over those flowers!! I encourage you all to pull out a project you started and is just begging to be finished because I know you all have them!!
