Happy National Scrapbook Day…..one day late. Hope everyone took some time to do something creative yesterday!
Last weekend I was in Winkler for the crop, always my favourite weekend to just get creative, visit with amazing women and enjoy Lori’s cooking!
Another great thing about spending a weekend at the store is getting first dibs on new products, who doesn’t love that!
Some new paper had come in by Canvas Corp which feels like thick watercolor paper, with a printed image. I choose the Let Tiny Buds Bloom paper for my project.
I cut the paper to size then glued it to a 5×7 canvas board. Once the glue dried I sprinkled on Lindy’s Magicals in Oom Pah Pah Pink and Yodeling Yellow, then sprayed with water to activate. I used lots of water and this paper held up really well!
These Tim Holtz mushrooms I can’t seem to get enough of them, yup this is my third project in a row using them. The are just TOO cute I can’t resist!!
My little garden needed some moss of course to ground it all and give the chipboard pieces and mushrooms a place to nestle inside of.
I used three of the Love Is In The Details laser cut chipboard, in fact the Thistle pieces came in just as I was working on this project. Oh my they are perfect! Each of the chipboard pieces was painted. The leafy ones I added some Distress Stickles for a little magic, and the Thistle tops were given some Tim Holtz Grit Paste and Stickles for added texture!
The final touch was this pretty die cut fairy! Because fairies are magical creatures I had to add more stickles to her wings! Good thing I was surrounded by ladies who love stickles and let me borrow them!
If you are at the store you can see this project in person, photos are just never the same as seeing something in person!
Now the ladies at the crop were getting a little concerned with all my bright girly projects lately that I might break out into hives LOL. That’s ok I’ve already got another project lined up for you all, and no it’s not feminine or bright!
