Give a little love

February is the month of Love, a month that we always celebrate here at LIITD!!

I wanted to share a little extra love with all of you this month so thought I’d give you an extra project or two!

When Lori announced that she’s making custom LIITD Laser Cut Chipboard I was over the moon excited.  So excited in fact it drew me to come back and join you all here!

Today I’m featuring chipboard from the January release….have you seen it?  If not RUN to the store, it’s online too if you prefer to shop from home in this crazy cold weather.

Sadly my very good friend lost her dog a couple weeks ago.  It’s a very sad time as any pet parent will understand.  I wanted to do something special for her to remember Zoe, and give her a little extra love.

Isn’t she a beautiful girl?!  She was such a sweet thing, with her short little legs!

The Stacked Love with Paw was the perfect piece for this gift.  I used Old Gold embossing powder on all of the chipboard pieces.  To bring out the paw print I used some pink Distress Embossing powder on paper to really highlight the paw print.

We all know that puppies love to kiss & cuddle, so I couldn’t resit adding the XOXO chipboard as well.  As you can see the original piece was too big for my project so I cut it in half.

Ladies do not be afraid to cut up those LIITD Laser Cut Chipboard pieces and make them your own!

If you look you’ll also see around the flowers I added pieces from the Twig & Berry chipboard.  Once again I cut the stems off to fit in and around my flowers as I needed.

The base of this project is bits & pieces I pulled from my stash, adding layers of cardboard between the layers adds to the dimension of the overall canvas.

I hope that this little gift gives my friend a beautiful reminder of the puppy she loved so much!

I hope you have all found a way to share some love this month, big or small it doesn’t matter.

Keep watching, you never know when another surprise post might appear!
