Earlier this week a pizza box full of fun new goodies was waiting for me when I got home, including one of the Snowman kits!
It comes with all the MDF and papers you need to put it together…
Of course you could try something a little more adventurous, just set those papers aside (don’t toss them though they can be used on another project).
As always I was up for more of a challenge, and wanted to make him unique so I pulled out lots of fun supplies and grunged him up!
Yes I made a steampunk Snowman!!!! How fun is he?!
I covered his body with Finnabair Platinum Crackle Paste, once it was dry I sprayed Walnut Distress Spray over top to get in all those little cracks and age him a bit more.
I ran the paper that came for the hat through my Bigshot using a gear embossing folder. Then I rubbed different colours of Finnabair wax to bring out the texture!
The arms and scarf were covered in Distress Embossing powder…I LOVE the texture that embossing powder gives, and so sad you can’t buy it anymore.
I added a bunch of gears, using some of the custom LIITD laser cut chipboard and Tim Holtz gears. Even used them for his eyes!
He was so fun to make, taking this great kit and making it my own!
Lori has re-opened this kit so hurry and order yours before they are all gone!
OMG! I love how you created your own snowman. He is so you!!!
