I’ve got another layout to share with you today! Remember when I said I planned our New Years family activities with a certain paper line in mind? And you rolled your eyes and thought I was kidding? Well, nope!
I was so happy to get these pictures off my daughter’s camera and get to play with the A Perfect Winter line, from Echo Park. It has so many cute images and papers that easily work with any winter activity photos.
I was also really pleased with that precious photo of my grandson (who is almost ready to turn 1!) sitting in his little red sled, and all the white snow that surrounds him. It makes a perfect amount of white space (literally in this case) and I love the look of journaling right on a photo and with an American Crafts Slick Writer pen, it’s an easy thing to do.
The weather was in the deep freeze for the week our whole family was together over New Years, so we were stymied in our attempts to get out to play. But one afternoon, we just bundled up and went outside. For 7 minutes. But I got my pictures and Archie got a little tiny toboggan ride down the hill in front of his house. Which was concerning for him at first but which he warmed up to (pun intended) after a couple of two-second long runs! But to give him an idea of what was in store, I pulled him around the front yard a couple of times first. And he thought it was ok!
So this fun title detail was accomplished by the use of one of the stickers from the Perfect Winter line, and by stamping the alphabet letters with white paint, and the Tim Holtz/Ideology foam stamps onto kraft cardstock. After it was dry, I just cut them out and adhered them to the bottom of the sledding sticker. The clear enamel moose and mitten stickers are also from the Perfect Winter line. Aren’t they so dear??
All I’m thinking after this fun adventure, is 11 months is fun….but a year or two from now when he’s a little older and really gets the snow/skating/sledding thing, we are going to have SO. MUCH. FUN.
Thanks for checking in today! Enjoy your weekend and I’ll see you again on Wednesday!
