Hi friends! We’re getting close now! Only a couple of days left to the big day! Do you still have a couple of things to get wrapped up? Creativity drying up? And do you own any washi tape?? Well, you’ve come to the right place!
I will admit it. I have a weakness for the washi. It hardly even has to justify it’s existence for me to want to own it. Well, after this, it needs to justify itself no more! What a perfect use for pretty, thin paper, tape!
I went through my stash and pulled out several different combinations of patterns and colors. My first thought was to pick one color/pattern combo and wrap them all the same, but I couldn’t pick just one! So each box got a different combo!
Then, remember these from last summer?
Another useful-to-have-on-hand stash item! I pulled out a couple of sheets of these layered embellishments (available in the LiitD store) and selected one to coordinate with each washi wrapped box.
And then some labels. I also have a stash of these old sheets of labels that I will never get rid of. Probably also, never use up completely, because I’m actually hoarding them. But for today’s project, I gave some up. I layered each embellishment on top of a label sticker and it added just the right amount of oomph to the layered clusters of punched paper shapes and bits. At that, I decided it was enough. The point was a quick and pretty way to cross another task off the to-do list.
Here are some examples and close ups.
You can see how randomly the washi tapes are combined, and yet how pretty they are when you put them together! I bet you have a few rolls around too! Pull them out, and put them to work like this and I bet you’ll gain a new appreciation for them!
Thanks for stopping by today! You know the drill. Check back again tomorrow. I’ll be posting both Days 11 and 12 of the #12daysofholidaygiftwrap!
