You know what Day 1 in the title means, don’t you! There’ll be a Day 2! Maybe even a Day 3 or 4!
I’m back this week with more for you for your last minute gift-wrapping inspiration! These ideas are great for when you’ve run out of gift bags (but you still have some lunch bags in the kitchen in the drawer to the left of the stove) but who gives a gift in a lunch bag!!? Well, with a little ink, some glue, and a few embellishments, you can present a present (see what I did there?) that is way better than a store bought gift bag. One that says to the recipient that they’re so much more special than a dollar store gift bag!
And if you’re looking for more reasons to try one of these ideas this week, here’s one! Who doesn’t need a little crafting therapy at this hectic time of year? How much more justifiable can this crafting break be??
We’ll start this series today with this polka dotted bag.
I began by stamping a flourish on the right side and then using a polka dot stencil and a dauber and Versamark ink to ink up all the holes before heat embossing everything with white powder. I removed the raggedy edge at the top and then made it fancy with an edge punch. (An edge punch that I looked at a few weeks back and asked myself why I was keeping it? I didn’t even have to wait that long for the answer!!)
Then I added a paper doily, some leaves and a ribbon flower, stamped a little tag and tucked it in like it was another leaf, closed the bag up with a strip of adhesive backed crochet ribbon, and with that, this bag is ready to be given away!
As always, many, if not all of these supplies are available in the store. If not the exact supplies, then ones that are suitably close for accomplishing a very similar project.
Thanks for stopping by today. Check back again tomorrow for more gift packaging ideas.
