Hi everyone and happy Canadian Thanksgiving!
This week, I picked up some new products from the Love is in the Details store. I chose a line from Simple Stories, called “Vintage Blessings” (hence the super creative title), to create a few thanksgiving cards.
The line has great patterned paper, perfect for use on cards and the chipboard pieces are great for layering. As you can see, I placed a flowery chipboard piece onto one of the matching paper patterns, for a bit of dimension.
This next card is possibly as simple as can be… but the paper and the 3×4″ card fit together so well, that I decided to only add a few chipboard hearts.
I need to post some of my cards that have a lot of layering (I do love to layer!), but sometimes you just need a few quick and simple cards. I also find that these kinds of projects, the ones you can simply “throw” together, where everything flows and goes together so well, give me a lot of energy. I’m not sure why…perhaps because its a break for my brain…kind of like a crafting spa for the mind 😉
I also used the washi tape from the “Vintage Blessings” line, to incorporate a bit of the outside, in the inside of the card. This washi is seriously GORGEOUS!
For my last card, I used a beautiful rose print paper. While I haven’t been drawn to a lot of floral print lately, there’s something classic and elegant about this one, and I just couldn’t leave it.
Again, all the embellishments are from the same line as the paper, except for that I added a few touches of nuvo to this last one, to add a bit of visual and dimensional interest.
And yes… together life is so sweet. With that being said, and especially since its thanksgiving weekend..I’d like to say “THANK YOU” for all your encouraging comments, patience in watching me grow as an artist and also for your beautiful friendship (for those of you who I’ve met, and also to the many of you that I have still to meet). I love the encouraging environment that Love is in the Details community has and am extremely grateful for all your support!
May you have many things to be thankful for, this weekend and beyond!
Happy Thanksgiving, Friends!
