Good morning friends!
I find myself leaning more and more often, in a CAS direction….clean and simple….in my card making. It’s not the easiest thing to do well, but I found the cutest stamp set in the store that almost demands a clean and simple treatment. Just stamp, color, et voila! Right?? How cute are these guys?? Taylored Expressions makes the animal pairs and sentiments separate stamps so you can match the words with the image of your choice. I used my Copic markers to color them, but you could use anything…regular markers, colored pencils, water color paints.
And then there’s this set….one background with two different color schemes, watercolored to fill in the open space. I love this style too…just slap color down wherever you like…impossible to do it “wrong”. I used my Prima Watercolor paints and a Penny Black stamp that I don’t see in the store anymore, but any of these ones would work just as nicely. I used the vertical lines as color barriers for the paint. The words are cut from black card stock and the sentiments are heat embossed on black card stock as well.
If you’re into card making (or even if you’re not, but you like to see fun inspiration of any kind), check back here on Saturday for World Card Making Day! I think we have something up our sleeves to mark the day!
