Valentine Cards…

Hearts and Flowers day is coming.  So I made a couple of cards.  Not sure who will get them exactly, but chances are pretty good that one will go to Mr B.

I started by tracing a heart shape onto Post It paper and cutting the heart out.  I used the center heart as a mask on one card front, and the surrounding shape as a mask on another card front.  Then using a finger dauber, I lightly daubed Versamark Ink onto the inside and outside edges of the hearts, and heat embossed them in gold and chunky silver powders.

For the gold card, I stitched around the inside of the heart shape with gold thread and added a mini flower and a chipboard arrow from the Crate Paper Wonder line.

And for the silver card, I stamped a sentiment and added a die cut “love” and a chipboard flower from an older Crate Paper chipboard line.

Thanks for stopping by today.

I sincerely hope there is some chocolate in your near future.  Even if you have to buy it for yourself and hide it in your chocolate stash.
