Incidentally, before we get started, did you know that today’s is post #801! Kinda crazy when you think about it, hey?? Anyway, I’m glad to be here and to be a part of something that continues to reach out and teach and share and show you inspiring ideas on a bi-weekly basis! Thanks for coming to check it out every Wednesday and Sunday!
I’ve got a layout for you today. I’ve had some of the snowflakes made by Lasered Edge last year, but also some newer, more delicate ones from BoBunny that I’ve been dying to use. I printed both these photos with slight differences in the edits, just to test my little “at-home” printer, but in the end I didn’t want to discard either one, so I decided to layer them up like you see.
The title is the product of looking through drawers in search of something else that I can’t even remember now, and seeing these letter stamps and deciding it was time for them to quit hiding in the drawer and to come out and play. I stamped them first in a very light grey ink and then immediately onto the Versamark stamp pad so that I could see where the ink was and not overlap letters. Then I heat embossed the whole title with Silver Detail Embossing powder. You can see a little of the glint here.
The polka dot, silver embossed design is done with a stencil (by Donna Downey for Prima), more Versamark and the same detail embossing powder.
I also used some Carta Bella washi tape, Fancy Pants Swagger paper, Robin’s Nest Dewdrops, Heidi Swapp epoxy words, Teresa Collins Life Emporium buttons and Far & Away die cuts. Finally, I typed the journaling onto printer paper and cut it into strips before loosely adhering them down.
So that’s it! Post #801 in the bag! I hope you found something here to inspire you to play!
Thanks for stopping by today!
