What do you buy to welcome a new baby? I often struggle with this decision and wonder whether it should be diapers, clothes, blankets … books, toys? What will they get the most use out of? What do they need?
Clothes are so cute, some of them quite irresistible … but what size, what color, outfit, sleepers … what to choose? When buying items for a new baby there are many things to consider … and often I just really can’t decide what the new parents would like/need for their new little one.
But, after all of my thinking and contemplating, I have finally figured it out … a gift card. Of course, why on earth have I never thought of this before?
And with this dilemma finally figured out … I knew exactly what I was going to get busy and make. I also knew that Echo Park’s Bundle of Joy New Addition papers would be absolutely perfect.
One of my favorite things to create … my little gift pockets … cute as can be all decorated up. One pocket with a cute gift card envelope and one pocket with a decorated glassine bag ready to hold a welcome baby card.
These were so much fun to make … the paper and colors are perfect … and I am so pleased how they turned out.
Thanks for stopping in today, I hope you are enjoying your weekend … and hope the sun is shining in your neck of the woods.
Lori, those are awesome ! That line of paper is perfect for not just baby gifts but for young boy or girl birthday as well. I really need to learn how to make those !! I love the little owls !
Very cute. And a great idea. Gotta love that.
Adorable!! I have a friend having a baby tomorrow so something like this would be perfect…thanks for the inspiration.
Those are so cute Lori! Did you use the Fab Tex as the main material or just card stock. My niece just had a baby and this has given me an idea to make one as a card but so she can re-use it to hold those important baby papers birth certificate vaccinations etc. thanks so much for the inspiration!
Linda, I use these – http://www.loveisinthedetails.ca/scrapbookingcanada/product_info.php?products_id=20992
