The other day I came home to a very large box of new LIITD goodies waiting for me….what a great thing to come home to after a full day of work! In that box was some new Tim Holtz dies…..which of course I couldn’t wait to play with!
I love butterflies, I use them more than flowers so when I saw the new Butterfly Duo Die & Embossing folder set that Tim Holtz released at Winter CHA this year it quickly went to the top of my list!
The butterflies started out white, I then colored the debossed parts using Spiced Marmalade Distress Marker then inked the emobssed (raised) parts with Black Soot Distress.
The background was created using a piece of chipboard and the Tim Holtz Cameo Frame die. I covered the chipboard with a piece of Tim Holtz WallFlower Vellum, and the frame was painted with Mustard Seed Distress Paint.
I added a few Memory Box dies and finished it off with the word Beautiful from the Tim Holtz Handwritten Love Thinlets set! I can see myself using these words for so many projects…they are such a great size and I love the scribbly handwritten font he created!
This piece really makes me think of spring…which I hope is right around the corner!
Thank you for stopping by today!
That’s gorgeous Lisa. Love it. It too like butterflies and dragonflies.
