I have an absolutely adorable granddaughter named Stella. I know people say that having grandchildren is the reward for all the hard work that is put in raising children. I just can’t imagine anything better than having grandchildren!! Stella is the star of most of my scrapbooking efforts lately. I am lucky because my daughter sends me lots of beautiful pictures of Stella. This one is no exception.
I found this paper in my stash and I thought it would be perfect. When I create a layout it usually morphs as I am creating. The die cut and the black glitter trim was an add on. I was planning to add a banner there instead, but I love glitter so the black trim won out. I added the glitter to the flowers because I love glitter. A girl can never have enough glitter I always say. I added the black and white flowers but the cluster needed something more. I found a black feather and added it. The pearl strands were a last minute addition as well.
I added the die cut at the top of the photo over the doily. I used the all in one tool to get the delicate die cut out of the die. I highly recommend that tool if you cut your own die cuts as it makes it so much easier to get those delicate die cuts out in one piece . The fancy die cut was nice but it was a little plain for me. I cut up some of that black glitter trim and added it to the die cut. I think it added just the right amount of sparkle to the top of the photo.
I added the chipboard title after I had sprayed it with black soot distress spray stain and then coated in rock candy distress stickles.
I hope you enjoyed walking through the creation of this layout and I hope that you let your creative juices flow while you are creating your next layout. You never know where those creative juices will take you.
