We are located in a small town, in south-western Manitoba. Through my love of scrapbooking, and with love, inspiration and encouragement from family and friends, ~Love is in the Details~ was created. I picked the slogan, ~Love is in the Details~ because I truly believe that it is the little things, the small details that we journal and create in our albums that will help preserve our memories for generations to come.
After losing our home to a fire, I have learned to realize that it is not the material possessions in life that are important. A microwave oven, a sofa and chair, and yes, even that big screen tv can be replaced. But...the memories, the cherished little items that we have received throughout our lives, they cannot be replaced. The afghan my Mom knit me, the quilt my Grandma handstitched, the cards my children made me, those are the items that I miss, and cherished the most. I cannot get those items back, but I can recreate those memories for my children through my albums, by journaling, writing stories, and capturing special moments for them to treasure.
Married with two children, we have gone through many tough times, and many good times, and each and every detail of these memories is important. I have learned that writing a note, and saving it in an album will be a treasure for them to cherish and share with their families. When my children look at these albums, I want them to smile and remember the important little details that sometimes go forgotten. Therefore, I create and would like to inspire everyone to create, always remembering that
~Love is in the Details~
