Hello and welcome to the Monday Night Mystery layout, I'm so excited to bring this back for you all!!! In case you missed it I posted a supply list HERE.


Step 1:
Cut your first pattern paper to 8x8. Adhere this piece 2" from the top of your cardstock base and 1.5" from the right. Of course feel free to ink & distress the edges as you like!

Step 2:
Cut your second pattern paper to 6h x 6.5w. Adhere this piece 0.75" from the top of the first pp and 1.5" from the left of your cs base. Again feel free to ink & distress the edges.
~ If you want to use mist, now is the time, mist the bottom left corner of your two pp, and around the middle on the right of the two pp. Pull out a mask or some chipboard pieces to add interest!

Step 3:
Cut a scalloped strip of pp 1.25h x 10.75w, it should be this size after you scalloped the bottom edge. Adhere, with the scallop towards the bottom of your page, 1.75 from the bottom of the first pp, centred horizontally across the page.

Step 4:
Cut a cardstock strip 0.25h x 10.75w. Adhere 1.75 from bottom of your first pp so it overlaps the scallop strip, leaving about 0.5 of the scallop showing, centre horizontally on your page.

Step 5: *Edited....*
Adhere your photo (4x6 portrait) 2.5 from the left of your cs base & a little less than 3.25 from the bottom of the cs base. You want about an 1/8th of an inch of the cs strip showing.

Step 6:
Attach 1 embellie approx 1.5" in size to the right of your photo so the bottom of the embellie slightly overlaps your cs strip.

Attach the word strip or ticket to the left of your photo (kind of tucked under) 0.75 from the bottom of the photo.

Step 7:
Attach a 1.5" journalling circle or embellie at the bottom left corner of your photo, this should overlap the words strip slightly. (If you need more journalling room there is plenty more space you can add it so don't worry)

Step 8:
Time for the title!! Attach your title just above your pp from Step 2, this should be on the pp from Step 1. If your title is a little long you can attach part of it just above the CS strip and next to the embellie you added to the right side of your photo.

Step 9:
Attach a 1.5" embellie to the top left corner of the photo so it doesn't overlap your title. Add any other embellies you want!

If you need more space for your journalling go for it, there should be plenty of space to the right of the photo!!! This is certainly not an exact sience to my layout building!
